European legislation

European organic regulation is governed by Regulation COUNCIL REGULATION (EC) n. 834/2007 of 28 June 2007 concerning organic production and labeling of organic products and repealing Regulation (EEC) n. 2092/91.

Besides, Commission Regulation (EC) n. 889/2008 of 5 September 2008 laying down detailed rules for the application of Council Regulation (EC) n. 834/2007 concerning organic production and labeling of organic products as regards organic production, labeling and control.

Moreover, Commission Regulation (EC) n. 1235/2008 of 8 December 2008 laying down detailed rules for the application of Council Regulation (EC) n. 834/2007 as regards the import regime for organic products from third countries.

Recently, Commission Regulation (EC) n. 673/2016 of 29 April 2016 amending Regulation (EC) n. 889/2008 laying down detailed rules for the application of Council Regulation (EC) n. 834/2007 concerning organic production and labeling of organic products as regards organic production, labeling and control.
